Small day boats, braving the fierce seas for the precious catch. As soon as they land the fish, they're straight off to the London markets where top chefs eagerly await the catch. These beautiful sentinels are unique and graceful and are found all over Italy, but this particular row are world famous. 13. IN SEARCH OF SQUID Oil on board 33cm x 22cmPart of the same series… I missed them on the first night. I thought they'd go out just before sunrise. I was wrong. They go out many hours before, when the night is an impenetrable indigo. It's not a peaceful scene - the roar of a single tractor, the intensity and seriousness of the night's work ahead makes everyone purposeful. The spotlight is focused solely on the pushing out of the boats, and it's a slick operation to watch. Then suddenly, it's all over. Silently the little boats glide out towards the fishing grounds. The tractor driver goes home. The only evidence of any activity are the tractor tyre marks carving up the golden sand. The tide comes in and then there is no trace left to see…£550 framed SOLD

The vignerons patrol the endless rows of vines, testing the grapes for their ripeness and readiness for picking.If you look closely, you can see the bunches of grapes, bursting with juice, nestling under the leaves, which are turning the most magnificent colours of magenta, cadmium red, raw sienna, alizarin crimson and yellow ochre. PRIEST COVE TOWARDS THE BRISONS Oil on canvas board. 61cm x 46cmPriest Cove is the name of the tiny harbour at Cape Cornwall.Reached by a very narrow road bordered by the legendaryCornish banks consisting of solid granite disguised with age old mosses and wild flowers, topped with the vivid yellow gorse… many an unwary traveller has been caught out! Approach with caution! This is not a picture of that…?! This wonderful spot can be found at the end of said road. In summer there is a wonderful trailer in the National Trust car park set up with the best pasties in Cornwall - not to mention clotted cream scones. It wasn't there on this day sadly -this was a late autumn day with squalls and cloudy skies. Perfect weather for me!£290 unframed

Just round the corner is Harry's Bar, home of the iconic Bellini cocktails! The waiters couldn't have cared less about the Louis Vuitton, they were busy replacing my Bellini! The splatter effects really conveyed the movement and constant motion of a lively, not stormy sea. A rare sight without the tankers which so often can be seenmoored up in Falmouth bay, waiting for the oil prices to drop before they nip in to fill up on fuel!Apparently it's a fine balance against the thousands of pounds it costs to moor there against the price of oil!£850 framed
